Established in 2022, Allegra Pilates is a locally owned & operated studio with convenient parking available at both our East Maitland and Thornton locations.

 

Our offerings include group classes such as mat, reformer, barre, yoga, and clinical Pilates.  We also provide private and duet sessions tailored for athletes, dancers, and individuals in post-injury/surgery or pre/post-natal stages.

Leisa

Studio Director & Principal Instructor

Leisa first found Pilates through ballet, and has an extensive background in performing arts and dance education.

 

Leisa has a Diploma of Clinical Pilates & Cert IV in Matwork & Reformer. 

Studies include modules specialising in injuries & pre-natal, as well as a special interest in the bio-psycho-social model of chronic pain, and the positive impact that movement can have on function for a range of bodies and conditions.

"My classes have a flowing style to leave you feeling limber and refreshed at the end of a session. When I'm not teaching Pilates I love being home with my husband & 3 children. I love the beach, coffee and music!"

Courteney

Courteney's own personal enjoyment of the Pilates method lead to her studying to become a certified Reformer Pilates instructor, and she has gone on to complete the Diploma of Clinical Pilates & Pilates Apparatus certification with Breathe Education.

​​

Her expertise in anatomy and the principles of exercise, ensure that you will progress towards your own unique goals through consistent practice under Courteney's guidance.​

Erin

A retired dancer of 26 years, now keeping busy as a Mum of 3 young children. "I found reformer pilates after the birth of my twins and I have never looked back. It's given me an outlet, helped me regain my strength and it fills my cup!"


In her down time Erin enjoys holidaying with family at Scott's Head, sitting by the fire pit with her husband and catching up with friends.

Certified Reformer Pilates and Pre & Post Natal Reformer Pilates instructor (Barre Body Teacher Training).

Wunda Chair workshop (Pilates HQ).

Issy

A certified Reformer instructor with Barre Body, and with a classical background in BBO Ballet, graded tap and tumbling. Issy's classes cultivate movement that is accessible to all skill levels, allowing clients to reach personal goals and work within their own practice and capabilities. 

​

"Through my classes, I hope to offer opportunities for a great work out and provide a space to reconnect with your body through movement.

​

If I'm not teaching, studying, or at Pilates, you'll probably find me home singing along to musical tunes or doing a crossword in the paper."

Aimee

Aimee is a Holistic Health Coach with a Diploma from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a certified Yoga Instructor (Sukha Mukha Yoga Teacher Training), and trained in Reformer Pilates (Barre Body Teacher Training). She is also a Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor (Katie Manitsas Yoga Teacher Training) and a dedicated Shine from Within Youth Mentor.

 

Aimee brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to health and wellness, catering to individuals at every stage of life.

Jules

With a background in ballet, as well as having practiced Yoga for many years, Jules decided to take the plunge in 2022 to study Reformer Pilates teaching, and is now experienced working with a variety of clients including pre-natal, and a range of genders & ages. 

​

When she's not in the Pilates studio, Jules is busy running her successful pet grooming business!

​

Julie's classes are vibrant and energetic (like her beautiful personality) and she teaches an amazing Stretch class!

Bre

Bre is a Dietitian, a psychologist in training and a pilates addict.

Her love for pilates grew after she joined the Allegra family and lead to her becoming an instructor. Bre completed her Reformer Pilates teaching certification through Barre Body, and Wunda Chair workshop with Pilates HQ.

​

As an advocate for health and wellbeing and an ex-dancer, Bre’s mission is to support all bodies towards moving and enjoying pilates as much as she does.

​

Bre is a devoted fur mum to her two precious pooches, a tea enthusiast and is an avid activewear collector (the addiction is real)!

Fiona

Fiona is a certified Reformer & Mat Pilates Instructor, and has also completed Pilates teacher training in Anatomy, Wunda Chair & Pre / Post-Natal Pilates, through Studio Pilates.

​

Fiona is an experienced and caring Pilates teacher, with a focus on form to ensure you get the most benefit out of every exercise.

​

When she's not in the studio sharing her passion for Pilates, she's keeping busy with her lovely family, managing her son's soccer team, and spending time with her adorable puppy!
